You had the SAME problem that I did when I tried to two-tone my R34! I didn't lose ALL the gold, but all the top layers peeled off :\. I feel your pain man, hope you recover. Mine's still in the brake fluid.

That's a great color. Too bad about the paint peeling. I haven't had a problem with my boyd's metallic paint peeling, so maybe the tape your using is too sticky. Try blue painters tape or some low adhesion masking tape.

I was used Tamiya Mask Type, to mask the paint.
I was't use primer first. First use tamiya color, and later duplicolor... put the mask, to paint in black. When retire the mask, sorprise!, only the back parts are bad ¬¬ Thanks for the comments, i reestart tomorrow again ![]() |
