I'm not an expert on mufflers, so please excuse this silly question. Since a lot of those noisy mufflers have a straight through design to them, would it really matter which you choose, provided they have a tunable silencer or resonator? Would the silencer or resonator hurt perfomance that much?

i shouldn't assume your mufflers are crap since i haven't seen one in person. i'd edit the last post, but the picture of bill gates is just too funny. again, i'm sorry. truce? :flash: |

I installed my OBX exhaust the other day with a custom 2.25 cat back. The car roars, deep sound too. But, it has to go! I can't keep it on too long, cause it wakes everyone up. With the exhaust and intake alone my car is much faster tach just keeps on going, and if I take overdrive off, you would think im running with turbo, an easy 110mph+.
Are there any high performance, quiet mufflers out there?
