Question Bass Rattle...under car??

Hey guys whats up? Well I have 2 12"s in my truck and I get lots of rattle on my civic! When I stand outside the rattling seems to be coming from under the car. Sounds like loose metal vibrating. Not really the trunk or license plate vibrating that much, but something underneath. Has anyone else experienced this? Anyone know what it could be? Thank!

Why not jack your car up ... pound the stereo ... and locate where the rattling is coming from ...

its most probably all the nuts and bolts that hold the car together
check your rear bumper, thats mainly the cause of the vibration.

I totally get the same rattle with my Civic (6th gen coupe) when I pound my sub, except I only have a single "10. I can assure you all it's NOT the heat shield, not on my car at least, since I have a DX, it would be located under my hood, since my cat is built into the stock header, not to mention this rattling is coming from close the REAR of the car anyways, and even on the EX's the heat sheild would be towards the FRONT of the car, just behind the front wheels.

SilverY2KCivic: So you havent figured it out either? I think I'm gonna jack up my car one morning and put the bass on and check where its coming from. I'm sure it's coming from the rear of the car. I really wanna get rid of that rattle...sound like my car is gonna fall apart LOL :hehe:
