building center panel hoods for gauges??

hmmm i was wondering how u could build this?. Sometihng along the lines of this(below)


but like how would u go about making it more "rounded"?

If you ask me I would cut three pieces of sprue, glued them together, shape them at the oposit end make the bottom out of flat sheet of plastic and make housing with putty around the spru, that way you can chose how rounded you want them to be, when you are done paint and put decals for gauges ant put a drop of clear on top of decals to make it look like glass.

yeah i know what you mean, that pod thing......well i would use styrene and styrene tubing cut in half to create the roundedness over the gauge. then bring it all together with tamiya putty.

and how thick and big should the styrene be?

Made with evergreen tubing (small?). I choose the size to fit the MCG guage faces I had. Cut small pieces and glue them with a bit of stagger, when dry you can sand, putty or whatever to get them to fit your dash.
