Warn Hub Fuses. Good, or bad?

Just wondering what you guys think about these things. I was wondering if it would save some folks from destroying their CV joints and drive shafts. Seems like a good idea to me, but I have no experience with them. Well, not yet anyway!

Um, oops! Thanks! Atleast I didn't find my name in that thread. Then I would have felt extra stupid!

Uh, guys, just so you know, you will still pop a CV before the fuse. One of the magazines reviewed the hub fuses and tested it with both a LockRight and an ARB, in the case of the LockRight it broke the diff before the fuse popped. Since the CV is as weak (if not weaker than) as a LockRight, I would lay odds as to which will go first. Use the money you would spend on the hub fuse and buy a spare CV joint. You're going to anyway. That CV joint isn't like a Ford, it isn't built to stay tough. BTW, you think you are breaking CVs now, wait until you factor in a locker AND a lift. Judging from what I have seen over the last two weeks on my truck, putting in a CV isn't too tough.

Just a thought, it might be possible to shave the fuse down a bit to make it weaker and more likely to blow before something else. Probably not worth the trouble...
