Hey Truthman:
Do a search through the forums. The most of your question had been already answered some time before. I clearly remember the rolling window issue.

Good luck.

Re: what to check

use the ones that are recomende in the owners manual.
Take the door panels off and lube the tracks and make sure they don't bind.

Smile Window Problem...

You might try this quick fix for the difficult window problem...
Roll the window down completely and clean inside the horizontal and front vertical rubber window channel with a damp cloth. Then take a rag with ArmorAll, or some like product, and coat the inside of the rubber window channels as best as you can.
I've had the same problem where the window barely rolls up or down and this completely resolved the problem for many months.
If there is a mechanical problem or part damage, this might not work, but......
Hope this helps!

Re: what to check

My 98 HB takes 6.5" speakers all around, and that's what she's got. I went for Fusion FP-652s, and had only a slight problem due to Fusion speakers being generally a little too big for any application because of their massive magnets.

I've also got a Fusion Powerplant 12", w/ 1000W amp, and a Kenwood MP3 headunit. Poor little car runs first in class come the stereo competitions in spring. Last number I hit was 146dB with the single 12. Nothin beats Fusion for price/performance
