Lower ball joint

I've got another question. The boot of the ball joint on the lower arem is torn. The manual says that I will pretty much need to replace the whole lower suspension arm! Bwah! Is it possible to replace just the b-joint? What about lower arm bushings?

thanksie
Alex

To answer my own question , NO, you can't get a Nissan balljoint (separately from the lower control arm), but YES you can get one produced by other manufacturer (and it's dirt cheap too!)

Talking

I just got my control arms in the mail, with the ball joint attached. I will
have these installed with my new front axles. I picked them up from www.thepartsbin.com They cost me $135.00 (The dealer wants $185.00 a side)express shipped part #'s L2000-59393/L2000-59394 (Made In Japan). Next is my AGX suspension and Random Tech cat. (I decided against the 5ZIGEN catback exhaust)

Question

Where did you get just the ball joint from? Nissan says, it's not sold separately.

Aftermarket.

Moog is probably the best known.

Yes, it's aftermarket, but it's by an unknown company (to me at least) called Sidem I bought it at the dealership. And it really puzzlez me why Nissan won't sell them separately. Tehy are quite easy to remove from the control arm (at least it seems so, but I will find out for sure at the weekend)

Will I need an aligment after replacing the balljoint?

I made my decision based on the feedback I got here at the forum. The word "LOUD" and the phrase "RICEY" allowed me to focus my attention on my suspension instead. The GREDDY/MX exhaust I had sound good, but the drone when driving a long distance was anoying so I removed the muffler and left the B-pipe. I didn't want a nicer looking exhaust but was probably just as loud in the cabin. Hey I just got my axles in the mail today. These things are beautiful. I ordered them from www.raxles.com (Ask for Mardy) These guys advertise that they are different (axles are built with all new parts) and they mean it. I got the entire axle for $300.00 plus shipping. I hope to have them installed along with stock motor mounts and new control arms this week end. Bump can you walk me through how to post pics, IE , Where to go? I'd like to show everyone the quality work RAXLES does with remanned axles. I'm ordering my AGX suspension next and keeping stock springs. there are pretty low from just normal wear and tear. My car should ride like new. This is no upgrade, just regular old repairs done in a way that I won't have to worry about these parts for a while. Oh, If any of you P10/G20 owners ever have to change your fuel pump, I'm letting you know in advance it's a real BITCH! I did mine this past weekend ( BOSCH makes the oem pump don't let some dishonest INFINITI/NISSAN parts guy tell you different). NO PUN intended.

The price of the balljoint was 11 bucks, and the part number is S41483, but I can't see how that would help you as I live in ESTONIA!
