scaling pics down

Hi
i was just wondering how you guys scale your pics down to turn it into a decal. ive got some gauges i want to print out for a tach and stuff but when i shrink it thn print it out it goes all blurry and cant tell what it is?
i dont have photoshop program but some other picture program. please help.

Your picture DPI is too low. If you're pulling the images off the Internet, you'll experience this problem. When I'm creating decals, I start with a high quality scan or digital picture. Or I create the image from scratch. You'll need at least a 300 dpi for a good decal, most of the time I go 600dpi.
