Question Cali Emissions

I may be a dumb ass, but I've ridden in another max that didn't have the Cali Emissions circuits that my car has. This max was a 96, had the Stillen Intake, RT Cat, and a Greddy Catback exhaust. I have the Stillen Intake, and the Apex World Class CatBack exhaust, and it just doesn't feel the same.... is this due to the fact that he has the RT Cat, and doesn't have Cali Emissions? Maybe I'm just imagining things...........

The 95 and 96 were the fastest maxes produced, due to less weight and emmisions. The Cali spec also has precats in the Y-pipe, which further reduce power...

So, if I get a new Y-Pipe, then I would have to tell them that it's got Cali emissions, since it has all those sensors and stuff, eh?

No, the pipe is physically different, but you do need to tell them you are Cali-spec.
