Alright, all I want to do is be able to drive an S15 in America....

I want to drive it legally on any street in America (not only on race tracks or at shows). What is the cheapest, easiest way to get a S15 Silvia? Just tell me what you think is the easiest way, whether it's a converiosn or just importing it. good explantions about why (it's the best way) and how to do it would really help. I wanna get most of the info I need in one thread so it's more convinient and I can ask direct questions to you guys.

Well, i doubt its gonna be cheap. But soon there will be a company to do what Motorex has done for the Skyline.

JDMEvolution will be the first company to import and legalize the S15 Silvia.

Now they have a website, but theres nothin on it cept a flash intro, and theres no news of pricing yet.

There's an article about it on
cars.ign.com

it'll cost a tonne for anyone to buy a silvia. They'll have to crash test a couple and do more stuff to pass emissions tests.

It's not a matter of getting them here, it's legalizing them...

we're working with a company to make them 50-state legal, and there are others doing the same so we'll see what happens in the next year

i think the cheapest way to get one would be to help fund the legalization of the car. if whatever company that's doing it gets help from investors, the process would probably go alot faster

Re: Alright, all I want to do is be able to drive an S15 in America....

true, that's what we'll be doing...
even if the other companies finish before us it will be worth the time because we are doing all that we can to keep the prices reasonable. no point in bringing them over if very few people can actually afford them
