99 Model has passenger side turn signal that does not work. I have replaced bulbs front and back and checked both sockets by swapping with the other side. Only other indication I've noticed is that along with the quicker blinking sound, the dash indicator does not light up? Flashers do work though. I've read other posts which suggest that the flahser relay may be bad but since that's a costly issue, I was hoping for other ideas. Thanks!

Hi, i have the same issue, to fix it you have to replace the turning signal socket. They are known to have this problem. Order one from the dealer and install it and things will be fixed.

Re: Passenger Turn Signal failed
I had to replace the front right socket on my daughter's 98. Most dealers would stock the socket.

Re: Re: Passenger Turn Signal failed
My girlfriend's '98 has the same problem, too. I was able to find a bulb that didn't have the plastic base, as her's was heating up the external bulb contact wire (likely from a corrode (thus high resistance and high heat) contact) such that it sunk into the plastice bulb base and then lost contact with the socket contact. Sounds like a recall shoud be in order. When I went to the dealer, they said I had to buy the whole harness assembly (> 100 USD), yet the sockets do in fact have a connector. Can someone please post the part number/manufacturer for the socket itself?

Sorry, I bought mine a long time ago but I think you can find it at gmpartsdirect.com. It should be about $20 there; it was about $35 at a local dealer here in Michigan.
