Well I dont know much about turbo systems or anything, but I figure...why not, give it a little boost and see what happens. What kind of mods do you have on there now, I do know a little about that. If you have more air trying to run through your engine, but it gets restricted by small piping(i.e, stock headers and exhaust system), then it wont be that much of a help, but if you open things up a bit and let it breathe, then I think you'll feel a bitter difference.

it this the carb'd motor and if so i'm suprised noone has said anything about detonation with just 2 injectors... i don't know if it'd matter that much with only 4 psi. and i would bother gettin a BOV if you do since you won't be pushin enough boost to move the vavle.

no way, waste of money and there's no potential. get a b16 in there, cost a little more but it will be faster and then you can turbo that

It's funny you should suggest a B-series to him, almost like you think D-series are useless. I just spoke to a guy yesterday who on a d16z6 on STOCK sleeves, is running 11.2 in the quarter. 350 est. horsepower (he never directly told me the exact amount). Not bad for a D-series.

I would only turbo the d15 if you plan on building the internals. If you build them, I see no problem...if not, get something else.

Look out, I can run 17's allllll day.

Re: Turbo a d15? yay or nay?

1) This thread is like a month old

2) There is a pretty big difference in a d16z6 and a d15b2 (125hp vs. 92hp...mpfi vs. dpfi...etc.)

He wasn't dissing all d-series motors, he was just saying for that the money he would spend on a turbo b2...he could have a b16 and have it be more reliable.
