Cool Revell's '93 Civic coupe and '99 Eclipse PLASTIC kits are now available.

Here's the scoop, from a Revell employee:

The kits are based on the Fast and Furious metal body kits. The body is different tooling than the metal body kits, but very similar with molded on skirts. Each kit has two hoods one in clear and a secod white syrene hood with a molded open scoop. The Eclipse kit has three front bumpers (one new design) and two rears, the Civic kit has two front bumpers (one new) and two rears. There was one new set of wheels tooled for each kit and both styles used on the F&F cars are included as well (each kit has three diff. styles). A seperate roof scoop and a big tach was made for the Eclipse and there are some new interior parts (seats, a-pillar mounted gauge panel) for the Civic kit. Each kit has multiple rear spoilers, I remember a new one being tooled for the Civic, can't remember for sure on the Eclipse.

Here are some pics of the new boxes, courtesy of The Model Roundup:

They should be pretty good kits, for your all-plastic adventures!

Just got the last 93 civic coupe from my LHS, they also have 1 more eclipse there. The civic is already in mock-up stage and i'd have to say it looks pretty good. Headlights look a bit out of proportion. Hasegawa Civic's look much better. Sun/Moonroof is a little bigger than the real thing (no biggie). Im happy with the interior, everything seems dead on. No options to make a stock coupe thats a minus. side skirt is molded onto body another minus for me.

Besides the setbacks I mentioned, I'm still happy to finally get the 93-95 civic coupe in 1/24 scale. Gonna pickup more as soon as my LHS stocks em. Probably going to make a few versions that i drove back in the days, since this is the first and second car I bought, and first car i fixed up.

JeFF

Thanks ZoomZoomMX-5 for the heads up!

Looks like the bomex kit is on the eclipse, I don't really care for over-the-top flashy bodykits, I like them more subtle, but we will have to see what it includes. Review anyone?

Im not too sure myself about the front bumpers on either of those kits. I'd like to see the other choices. I also hope the roofscoop isn't molded into the body on the eclipse... I won't mention a certain word that comes to mind

are these curbside!?!?

thanks for the heads up zoomzoom

They're full detail (taken from the full-detail diecast kits which are both far superior to AMT's plastic Eclipse), and if you read the description I posted, it clearly says "separate roof scoop".

Re: Revell's '93 Civic coupe and '99 Eclipse PLASTIC kits are now available.

oops, I failed to mention that the Civic does come with a Bomex type front bumper, (the one on the front of the box is horrible IMO). It also comes with a Kaminari type hood besides the clear stock looking one. Full B16/18 motor like the other tuner honda's. Decent to OK racing seats. 3 gauge pillar mount as stated before.

Re: Revell's '93 Civic coupe and '99 Eclipse PLASTIC kits are now available.

Are stock bumpers one of the body kit choices for the eclipse?
