IMO, I wouldn't touch it. It's a Mach 1 and already is fast and sweet looking. Why buy a Mach 1 and change the looks. All that I would do is a full exhaust and a K&N filter if I had it.

Yeah, why would you buy a Mach 1 and put a Roush kit on it?

Supercharger and nitrous, you really don't need both on a Mach 1. Get use to the power or the Mach forst then decide what you want to do. Such has gears and exhaust.

Re: tips for new stang owner PLEASE help

yeah i agree... i dont think that i would go any further than gears exhaust pullies and a k&n...if you wanted to heavily modify a stang and you had that kinda money, you shoulda gotten the ole 5.0 and done wonders w/ it

Re: tips for new stang owner PLEASE help

I wouldn't buy a new mach 1 and do those kinda modifications, I would do the normal mads, but like he said if you want extreme modifications go with a 5.0 or maybe the 4.6(regular) , but I aint going to tell you what to do you can do what you want and most people here will help we are just giving our opinions.

Internet searches for parts! Ebay!

I agree with Jetts...go for the SC and/or any other power adders you want, but not the Rousch kit...the Mach looks good as is.

Re: tips for new stang owner PLEASE help

if you really want a s/c vortech has a kit for the mach 1. (www.vortechengineering.com) i believe procharger has a kit for the mach as well.(procharger.com) (very expensive for either). unfortunately with either kit the shaker hood would become dysfunctional, but you could have around 500 crankshaft horsepower so i think i could deal with that.

First of all, its spelled Roush.

Second and like like the others said, why buy a specialty Mustang and then change it all around? It already has a Cobra engine, so why not just turbocharge it or use a blower? Lots of power and no image change.

Be sure not go over 5/6psi on that mach 1 engine or you better pray the gods themselves made your tune.

And whats wrong with the Roush kit on a Mach 1? You guys obviously havent seen a Mach 1 with a Roush body kit have yall? Heres a Roush with the Shaker upgrade.

It's basically a '01 cobra motor with different cams for better low-end. The '03 motor was an iron block, the earlier 4V 4.6's were all aluminum motors with sleeves, and the Mach is aluminum.

If you want power, period, I say go with a supercharger. Do some more research, superchargers are known to work extremely well with mod motors. The pistons are so small that the valves are shrouded, so forcing air in will get a lot more gains than any port job ever will on those.
