Why are boys such babies?

Is it really that bad that some of us girls are in to cars and is is that big of a ego bust to guys that we can work on our cars without their help? Is it just me or does it seem like guys can't deal with the fact that a girl wants to learn about her car and now that she put sweat into it and that it wasnt another guys work? why does it bother guys so bad and why do are the such babies about it?

i dont really thing its that im a guy and i think its just because more girls are getting into the whole tuner thing and were not used to it and im not being a pussy by saying that but i think thats what it is

Guys think Cars are for them and make-up is for us. My bf drives a lude n I drive an Si obvisiously....he gets sooooo mad when I do stuff to my car....he thinks Im tryin 2 compete w/ him...I kno how 2 change my own oil...he goes 2 a mechanic....Guys cant deal with women liking cars cuz they fear it will make them look unmanly

Men with a touchy ego will get very offended by girls who are genuis' with cars and guys shouldn't be so. To be honest I would absolutely love if my gf could fix my car, and knew more about cars than me (she doesnt want to have anything to do with a car other then drive 20km under the speed limit). If a buddy of mine (guy) is working on a car I will offer to help, and the exact same thing goes with a girl friend of mine. I don't see gender in this, I see a friend who I can help a bit...Other guys may see different

i think its cool that chicks can work on cars and stuff...and if a male gets jealous or something then they are weak.

Don't bother me none at all. Hell I prefer you can fix your own car. Cause I'm tired of fixing every girl I knows car.

thats cool that you guys can appreciate a girl that can do her own stuff. but there are those guys that can't stand it. we just want some respect. its not alot to ask. Is it???

not a lot to ask for at all. when my buddy and i got back from the shop w/ the 2jz freshley bored and painted in high heat black...his fiancee was drooling over it as much as we were.

i had a female friend of mine ask me advice on what kind of body kit to put on her car and asked me if i could teach her to change her own oil, and brakes and also teach her how to modify it. i think its great that more girls are wanting to get into the scene. hell i know girls that drive 240's and can drift just as good as a lot of the guys that are into that scene. and it is also a proven fact that girls have better reaction times at the drag strip than men do.

i honestly think its damn sexy to see girl crawl out from under her own car w/ a some grease on her face and hands and i have high respect for a girl that knows what shes doing and talking about under the hood and for those girls that want to learn.

I can't believe he thinks that, yet goes to a mechanic, while you do things yourself.

I love it when a girl knows about her car, and how to do things with it. I wish I could meet more girls like you...

it must be the guys you hang out with, do they wear big baggy pants, and talk gangsta? im jp. cause none of my friends, or majority of them, if not all, never get upset over something like that.

OMG, girl you are so right "briea", I have received the same reaction from some of the guys I know and have spoken with. They say it is a guys area and that nothing is sacred anymore.

i say we keep going on with our cars and we let them cry. soon enough they will get ovr it and find something new. then... we'll "invade" that and it will just be a cycle. get over it guys. Its 2004 guys and girls are suposed to be equal!
