Hemi Honda?

What's the deal with "Yeah, it's got a Hemi"? The way I understand it it's just a hemispherical head design that allows the use of larger valves and provides better air flow to the combustion chambers. Doesn't Honda do this? Or is there a difference that I'm missing. Can I be an ass and put a "Yeah, it's got a Hemi" sicker on my 'Sol? LOL!

Import>Domestic>import with domestic badge>domestic with import badge.

That is the pecking order. If you wanna knock yourself down below the lowly domestics, feel free.

Re: Hemi Honda?

I'd never do it, but it would sure get a rise out of those Hemi guys if someone did.

Well its the head and pision that are half a sphear. But its not that it allows bigger valves thats why it makes it good, its that it helps to better combust all of the fuel because there are no cool spots.

BUT because of the angles they can not engineer 4 valves per cylinder because of the angles that would be involved and modern day engines use a pent-roof design witch is almost as good as a full hemi but it allows them to put 4 valves per cylinder so the pent-roof are better.

The hemi was the king when they were using 2 valves per-cylinder back in the mussle car days but now they are just using the hemi as a marketing tool.

I want a "Yeah, Its got a Vtec" sticker

On a side note it was my uncle who restored that charger that was in that commerical. Its my dads bosses charger. So arent i cool now

Quote "I want a "Yeah, Its got a Vtec" sticker" You might be on to something there Or how about "Yeah, It's got a pent-roof" LOL! I think it's great that your uncle restored that Charger. I wonder if the 'Sol will be a classic to rebuild in 20 years? Cheers!
