Civic 3dr fender trim
Just thought I'd throw this one out here--I am looking for ABS (or carbon fiber) fender trim for my 95 civic hatch. I'm not too crazy about the imitation chrome crap, but I need something to replace the fender edges as they keep rusting off, and I keep bondoing and repainting them every year or two. Now I just want to cut the damned things off. I don't think I want to go the route of a widebody kit or anything, just some new edges. ABS would be preferred because it resists rock dings, as CF might eventually fall apart. Any good leads?

Re: Civic 3dr fender trim
If you go to a dealership I'm sure they'll have some in hand that you can buy. I'm pretty sure no car comes with the fender trim from the factory, it's a dealer installed part.

Thanks for the advice, but that was the second place I checked. No luck there, they have no such animal. Anybody know how to mold carbon fiber? Is there not a market for something like this? VIS automotive can't help me either, with all their carbon fiber products and lack of response or customer service. Oh, well, I guess I'll sell my rust bucket Civic and buy one from out of state, swap out the engine, tranny, brakes, suspension, etc., etc. This will be a long summer...

Re: Civic 3dr fender trim
well...you could fix the rust the right way and go to a body shop and have them cut that part of the fender of and weld on a new piece of sheet metal. Bondoing it doesn't help it at all. If it's just the fender rusting then there is no point in buying another car, just pay to get it fixed. If you have huge cancer spots all over, well then that is another story.
