dip stick
i am swaping out a 289 and putting a efi 302 in a 66 mustang, where do i put the new dip stick at im sure i gotta drill in the timing cover but im not sure where i need to drill thanks.

eh? timing cover? dunno why you'd have to drill there. should be able to just bring it through the driver-side header. no drilling there, they attach with a bracket that is held by a header bolt.

in a 66 i ran into a problem with the power steering the 93 motor had a rear sump, i put on a front sump now i need a dipstick hole for the front sump pan

hmm... prolly won't have to drill through the timing cover, just route the tube right in front of it, and anchor it with a timing cover bolt. if all goes well it should go right through your belts and sit right in front of your radiator.
although, you should probably try routing it backwards, through the header. that should work perfectly. and you don't have to worry about the stick being so close to the radiator.
