rust on the transmission dip stick

With RUST on the transmission dipstick and some in side the tube how bad is it... And will a flush help it out.

Re: rust on the transmission dip stick

Seen them as bad as the indicator & tube comming out in pieces & yes I'd drop the pan & do a service while your at it. Bulitin #99-07-30-004a, the indicator has an improved seal & both have a more rust resistant metal, this involves '95-'98 models.
Be warned, the tube can be a real sob. Dont forget to get a new multilip seal for the tube if you have to replace it.

Cool tranny dipstick

Smae problem on my 95. 4L60E transmission.
Anyone know a good source for a new a new dipstick?
