Question Oil Pressure Sensor location?

My Oil Pressure Guage is having siezures and bounces from one end to the other. I have the Haynes book and have looked where they say the location of the sensor is, but I can't find it. I looked all around the oil pan where it said it should be, but no luck. Any thoughts where they are hiding it? Should I even really care? Will it cause downstream problems?

95 Grand Cherokee Limited (Orvis Edition), 5.2L

Thanks,

Same thing is happening with mine - 95 Orvis - it's been doing it for a couple years with apparently no adverse effects.

Re: Oil Pressure Sensor location?

It is located at the back of the engine behind the intake manifold next to the distributor cap.

I am having the same problem also.

Is it easy to replace on my own?

Does it require me to change the oil filter?

Re: Oil Pressure Sensor location?

No you don't have to change the filter. it is easier to c if u take the Sparks Plug wires off the Distributor cap, it is on the passenger side of the cap. right next to the EGR valve.
