84 Accord fuel leak at carb

I think it is the accelerator pump leaking, it leaks when the car is sitting still and while it is running (a bit). The car runs well enough the only bad thing runwise is starting is sub-zero temps; you need to feather the throttle for a minute until it is happy.
Anyhow... a carb rebuild kit is $145 in my area. Does anybody know an easier way to take care of this problem or a cheaper part to take care of it?
Thanks for reading
