My stereo system is jacked!

Today i was looking into upgrading my stero system which turned out to be a problem. I have only had the car for around 6 months its a 99 ss and the radio itself is an aftermarket sony. The guy at circut city told me i had 5x4 in the front and 6x9 in the far rear. So i went home and started looking. In the far rear were some wimpy ass like 4xnothins and the front were definatley not 5x4. But the clincher was the fact that the speakers in the back seat (which i was told didnt exist) were sitting there un hooked. Can some one please tell me if the speakers i have came like that or how i can fix it or somethin. Oh and the speakers are delco all the way around.

Re: My stereo system is jacked!

yeah man, he was in third gen mindset, we have the 4x6 speakers in the dash, with 6x9 speakers in the sail panels, by the rear seats. fourth gen camaros had 4in speakers all the way around. with a sub in the back if you had the BOSE system. funny thing is, those little 4in speakers put out mad crazy sound, better even than the bigger speakers of the third gens. and technology grand. although the third gens with the BOSE system also had the small 4in speakers, but they were in the positions of those in the fourth gen camaros, the kick panels, and the rear cargo lid. with nothing in the sail panels or dash. that system was so much better sounding, that the fourth gens got that speaker size and placement, rather than where the standard third gens had them. so your system is fine, just looks like whoever had it was going to try to wire in a six speaker system, with the 6x9s in the sail panels, but never got around to it.
