Skyline conversions

hey guys, im kinda new to tuning, and i want a skyline.....but cant afford to buy one and import it. i was wondering if you guys could recommend a car, that is around the same length, height, and chassis style as a 2000 skyline gtr. im going to try and find all skyline body parts (all panels, bumpers, and headlights) and have my friend (who has been tuning for years now) help me put them on. it would be more of a show car than anything else, because i know that the conversion will make the car quite heavy. i was looking at Civics and Maximas (because i heard they are good candidates for skyline conversions), plus if i got a maxima i would still be in the nissan family, and would have to graft the chassis as much. i saw some blitz body kits that look almost exact skyline parts. if not i can get actual nismo parts. help me out guys! thanks.

As far as looks, the closest to an R34 Sklyline would be a Maxima. The problem with that though would be that the Maxima is FWD and you have to do some heavy modifying to allow the RB26DETT, that is if you are planning on the swap. If you are planning on the engine swap, the I would agree with Faze, go with the 240SX. I know of 1 place that does RB26DETT swaps into S13 (89-94) 240SX. Just go to http://mckinneymotorsports.com.
