Talking 302 windsor Turbo From South Africa

I'm thinking of buying a 70's ford 302 windsor motor and wanting to turbo charge it. What I'v got in mind is a 1bar boost on 2 T4 Garret turbos with a stock crank, stock Rods, forged pistons, larger valves and upgraded springs,Ported and polished heads. Fully blueprinted motor.Stronger bolts.......What compression ratio should I run and how do I test my compression ratio??What size feul pimp do i require??CAN I USE STOCK CAMS?? WHAT SIZE VALVES??? SPRINGS?? Can I use two small intercoolers instead of one large one cause plumbing will be easier. Can i still water inject with 50/50 water/methanol so freezing doesn't occur. What Carburator do I use for blow through?? What piping type for plumbing eg metal must I use?? I ask for all the required specs above to help me through my jurney with great Faith. This All will be placed into a Ford mustang with many mods to the car. All work will be done by me and any help will do. Thanks

seems that your knowlege of Ford motors is rather limited.

there's no such thing as a 302 Windsor. there is a regular 302 and an H.O. (high output). the 351W is based on the 302, only difference being a taller deck height. there are 3 variations on the 351: the Windsor (302 based), the Cleaveland (460(?) based) and the M (400 based).

keep in mind that most people on this forum are American (including myself) and most likely don't know the relationship between BAR and PSI. so we aren't able to say how well that motor would do with that much boost.

since you're running twin turbo, i'd say you should upgrade to an aftermarket bottom end. all forged, with h-beam rods. unless of course you wanna pick the rods up off the ground after you blow that motor. 195 LPH pump should be fine with that setup.

you wanna know what kind of valves you need, but didn't tell us what heads your'e using. for this motor i would reccommend no less than Trick Flow twisted wedge, type r if you wanna go a little farther.

turbo piping should be stainless steel.

what model and year of mustang are we talking about here?

for pistons, you have to get them made to match your heads, rod length, and desired compression ratio. compression testers are widely available. keep in mind that you have to be able to get the correct octane fuel to match your overall compression ratio (including your boost).

you'd be nuts to use a stock cam... it wouldnt' make power. you should probably give Comp Cams a call and have them make you one. and you said 'cams', implying OHC... Windsors and 302s are OHV. as far as springs go, Comp or Crane will hook you up with the correct pressure and height.

all bolts/studs/nuts should come from ARP, you can get them from jegs or summit

i dont' know much about intercoolers, some guys here do

and one final thing... you made 2 posts, about 2 hours apart, under the same name, and replied to yourself in the second one... huh? i'd assume that there's more than one person using your name.

anyway, good luck, lemme know if there are further questions.

I can't offer much except that Bar isn't a foreign term. It is a unit of air pressure that equals approximately 14.5-14.7 psi (depending on the source of info).
