Looking for sport bike for sale

I have been wanting a good sport bike for some time now. Trying to stay under $5k. I have a pretty nice ski that I want to trade as full/ or partial payment on one. I'm a beginner but I want to have a 600-750 cc at least so I don't hate myself for buying it 2 days afterwards. You guys seem to be the experts, so please reccommend what you think I need. I like the looks of a GSX-R, YZF, and wouldn't mind a Ninja either. I'm just starting to look b/c I need to take a class b4 I ride I think. I think I can catch on pretty quick b/c I have driven everything under the sun except a bike.

Thanks in advance for your help. Bikes in the Midwest would be ideal for shipping purposes. I am just starting to browse cycletrader.

You said it: Cycle Trader... Dealers who might be able to take the ski in for trade will be listed when you run your searches. Just remember to have a fairly wide search area... not everything is 5-10 miles away.

600-700cc sure is alot for a beginner bike, 250cc bikes can get up 2 80mph and are alot safer and smarter for beginning riders
