Hi
I've got a 96 Yukon 4D4WD with 125K on it that I've owned since new and I'm actually fairly happy with it but it seems to take for ever to stop the darn thing. Do any of you know of an after-market package to upgrade my rear drum brakes to disc & put larger discs in the front? To some of you who've complained about crazy readings with the fuel gage ... mine has been like that since new. A very cooperative dealer (back when I lived on the east coast) replaced, The arm in the tank The sending unit The complete gas tank The complete instrument gage package None of this helped!! I've relied on the trip odometer to tell me whe it's time to gas up. Sure could use some advice on upgrading these brakes though. Thanks! Mr. Peabody |

Re: Rear Drum Brake upgrade to Disc 96 Yukon
Try Summit Racing, www.summitracing.com, they offer an aftermarket conversion kit to rotors.

Re: Rear Drum Brake upgrade to Disc 96 Yukon
In regards to the fuuuel tank, I have problems accelerating or stopping, due to the fact that the tank is long and narrrow. On flat runs at constant speed, I have no problems.
