2003.5 Mazdaspeed protege or '95 240sx
A friend of mine has challenged the migty msp, however not wanting to eat crow i want to have the win before we race. So Between the two, both stock and not modded, which would win in a race provided drivers were the same and both standard.
And if i will loose, what would be the best thing to get me over the top to start with. ?? Intake is what im thinking. any ideas?? |

Agree with Pasha. He's got 30 more HP than you, but he's also 200 lbs. heavier. The simplest and most cost effective mods you can make is a C.A.I. , a K&N filter (#33-2134) and a bigger diameter exhaust. I'd guess you'd gain anywhere from 28-35hp. This number is based on 3-10hp for the filter change, 10hp for the pipe, and up to 15hp for the cold air intake. On a cool day, you'll get 158 to 165hp. Not too shabby for a fistful of change.
By the way, the filter is always a good idea. The cotton construction breathes 50% easier than the stock paper filter, and can be cleaned over and over - done mine 15 times, and it's still in pristine shape. They go for $50 CDN. |
