clicking/ticking noise from suspension
whenever i have the wheel turned all the way to the left, i hear a clicking noise coming from the driver's side wheel. I have however recently (like a month or so ago) replaced the axles and outer tie rods. what else could this be?

With out a doubt it is your C/V shaft(s) that are bad. Change them and you will lose the noise.

If you just replaced your axles, then the cv joints shouldnt be bad. Check though to see if your boots around your cv joints are torn at all.

Re: clicking/ticking noise from suspension
you probably didnt tighten the CV shaft nut enough. i had a car come to my shop once that had that problem. the guy tried to do them himself, but didnt tighten one of the CV nuts enough and it clicked when turning at a certain degree.
edit: this is with brand new CV shafts, remember. and everything on the suspension was in good working order. its just something to check, make sure your bolts and nuts are tight

However, is there any warranty for the axle/cv joint you just replaced? I've replaced both of my axles & the new ones had 30 day replacement warranties if for some reason they were bad. |
