VIN on engine also?????

I wasnt sure where to post this at, but I figured that since this is the engine forum, I'd be ok putting it here.

I need to check the history of an LS engine. I see a sticker on the transmission that has numbers on it, but thats not the VIN. Under the B18B1 etching, there are numbers, but thats not the VIN either. Where, if anywhere, is the VIN written so that I can check the history of this engine. I want to see how many miles it has on it.

Also, if anyone has a Carfax subscription, could you please help me out....... I would GREATLY appreciate it if you could help me out. Thanks guys.

It should be on the bottom of the engine or tranny somewhere...I'll look as soon as I can and get back with a more clear answer...but it should be on the underside somewhere.

Hey. Thanks a lot man.
I jacked the car up and looked all around the bottom of the block, and I also looked everywhere I could see on the sides of the block as well. I didnt find the VIN. Thats kind of scary.....b/c that can only mean one thing that I know of....Unless the engine is JDM which I dont think it is, b/c JDMs dont have VINs on them.

Any further help would be greatly appreciated!!

Well, B18B1 weren't in JDM Integras, they are USDM motors...So, that's not good news...I'll check for sure as to where it's at and post back today or tomarrow, it's either the bottom of the engine block or tranny, I know thatr much. If you can't find it...then yea, that's not good...cuz we know what that means, sorry to say.
