pontiac grand prix reliabality

just wonder if anyone could tell me expected reliabillty of a grand prix se sedan with 3100 engine with 84000 miles. engine good for 200000? body suspension wear out at what kind of miles. what should i be aware of if looking to buy? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRIACIATED

I had the 3100 in my 95 Lumina and it was still going strong at 178,000miles. Never had the engine rebuilt and it still had the original transmission. I just sold it for $1250. I don't know about body suspension wear but I don't think I had any problems.

Re: pontiac grand prix reliabality

The only problem these old car had was the rear spring. It has rubber shoes on the tips and with time they tend to wear out and the car would make a funny squicky noise. But besides that. They run great. I still have a 3.4 Z34, it has 198k miles on the odo and runs like a kitten. The engine is original but the tranny I had to replace at 123k
