95 Sol wont startHELP!!!!!

my del sol will not F*ckin start.........when i put the ignition to on everything seems normal but when i try to start it the car wont even cRank ......this tow truck dude told me to give it a rolling start ....and it worked but when i tried to start my car again it wont work what do i DO!!!

I will agree starter is gone....or on your fly wheel theres the ring that the starter catches it ring can break off the fly wheel the only reason i know this is because it happened to me awhile back and after 5 starters and 100 headaches later we found it so check that if the starter dont fix it.

and for a starter, go to junkyards or www.car-parts.com DO NOT GO TO THE DEALERSHIP... they will RAPE you. I got a new B starter for $40 from my friend. What model sol do you have? check out http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/ under parts for sale and see if he has what you need. He's a great guy and super honest. Lives about an hour from me and is in my car club.

Or you can do the first thing that you should always do in this situation and check that the battery is still good. Just because it seems normal when the ignition is on does not mean that it is capable to turn the motor over and start the car. Go to autozone or any parts store and have them check your battery.

do your headlights turn on? windows roll down? if no, it's probably either the batter or alternator. but, since the "bump start" (rolling start) didn't work, I'd bet it's the starter. the bump start will work if the battery doesn't have enough power to turn over the motor AND ignite, so you turn over the motor by rolling it, and then if the battery still has enough power, it can still ignite when you turn the key.

if it seems to be the battery, *GET THE ALTERNATOR CHECKED* before you run out and buy a new one. I've known too many people that have gone thru about five batteries, and then come to find out, oh it's not the battery, you blew all that money for nothing, and you need a new alternator.
