Re: Headers.....question.....

Why do you want headers on a v6? I wouldnt sink a penny into a v6, but thats just me.

There are better things you can do to improve the performace of your Stang instead of wasting it on headers for a V6.
Like a 5.0 motor.

No I don't. I think gears is the first mod you should get. 3.55 or 3.73s
When it comes to exhaust from what I've read on a 96 I would be looking for an x pipe off road or high flow converters. Either one is going to do more for you than a headers.

Re: Headers.....question.....

Only thing is right now I want to try to keep my gas mileage as high as possible. I heard 3.73 gears will drop it like 3 mpg. I also gotta keep it street legal so I cant rly get off road x or h pipe. What are high flow converters? Would have a regular x-pipe do me more good than headers?

The 4.6 motors are screaming for a set off long tubes more than even a 5.0. Regular headers for a 4.6 are a waste of money cause there is no room to improve design or flow between the block and frame rail down is the only place to go. And since you need a shorten h/x-pipe to go with the Full lengths the answer is both at the same time.
