air spray gun settings?

I recently bought a compresser air spray gun set and the air regulator and inline water and dirt filter. The only problem is that i'm not sure how to adjust the settings properly. I see that there is 2 knobs to adjust the paint and air? if anyone if familiar with these please give me some advice. don't reply unless you know exactly what you are talking about because i don't know anything about it yet, to avoid confusion. thanks

Re: air spray gun settings?

Take A Look At A Site Called The Autobody Store. They Have A Message Board There That Discusses All Aspects Of Painting. I Am Sure They Will Be Of Help. Also Look At The Website For Sharpe Paint Guns. They Have A Similar Group And Dr. Gunn Will Answer Any And All Questions. On The General Side You Need A Lot More Air Than You Think You Do With Hvlp Guns. That Also Makes Water Filteration More Important. Using Only Rubber Hose Doesn't Let The Water Formed By The Pumping Action To Condense So It Can Be Taken Out By The Filter. In Your Shop Setup Try To Use Metal Pipe As Much As Possible If You Go That Route. That Sharpe Website Shows A Good Setup As Does The Tip Company Website. Just Lurk Around Those Sites And All Will Be Clear.
