Question This Is A Stupid Question

ALRIGHT... My Freinds car is an 1997 "automatic" dodge neon. You know the console where the cup holders and coin holder and the arm rest and emergency brake and the P, R, D, 1, 2 gears are. Alright he and i tryed to get that whole console off, the whole thing between his 2 front seats in his 4 door car. He wants to paint it white. WHERE ARE THE SCREWS to get that thing out. Can someone send me an outline of where or how to get that thing out.

well, i have a 2002 neon, and its a 5 speed, but i think the screws are in the same place. in my car, there was 1 in each of the 2 front cup holders, and 4 inside the console. after those were out, the console pulled right out. you might have more trouble with the automatic, but good luck.

Re: This Is A Stupid Question

Check the sides of the console at the back by the rear passenger footwells!!?? There may be removable covers that reveal more fasteners!!

Re: This Is A Stupid Question

i got a 95 and it isnt to hard to get out , just get each screw from each cup holder, then the four from the bottom of the console, i usually put the car in neutral with the emergency brake as much as you can force it upwards then just wedge the whole thing out from between the seats and over the shifters, good luck
