Hey guys, how's it going?
I'm new to this automotive forum site and wanted to drop in an say hey to the fellow american muscle fellas and ladies. No need to flame me cause i'm a maro driver. Though I'm true blue Chevy, I have respect for and appreciate anyone else who knows what domestic power is all about. I hope to learn a lot of stuff about "the competition" and perhaps I'll be able to provide some insight for you guys about f-bodies and some other things I've learned over the years... BTW, I'm 21, male, from Rochester, NY and I drive a 1994 Camaro Z28 with a Nitrous-Injected LT1. Hope to have a good time on this forum and learn some things in the process... -Garrett |

You know that LT1 is a mean sob without nitrous. Have you broken any thing since you put it on? And why a wet system instead of a dry one?

Yeah this forum is kinda slow, mainly cause it's not a fully dedicated Mustang site. People will find stangnet, Corral, MustangWorks, and Mustangworld on search engines before this one pops up. But this site has picked a lot since I was first here. If you got any ideas how to increase traffic, go right ahead!

Fortunately I haven't broken anything with the nitrous. I have an auto tranny with a hayden transcooler, so I don't have to worry about burning up clutches or anything, and I haven't put slicks or DR's on it yet. So my tires just spin when I hit it hard... The reason I chose wet over dry was for a few reasons. #1, I didn't have to upgrade my fuel system at all, not even injectors, and #2, I can run up to a 150hp shot on that stock system. #3, it is much safer in LT1's now that NX has been able to get rid of the intake puddling problem. The nitrous still needs a bit of tweaking. It is a bit jumpy sometimes and will hickup every now and then because I'm running extremely rich right now. I work with a programmer and my laptop to get it tuned in nicely, but have to wait till spring to record some data on some N/A and nitrous runs in order to give him something to work with. I only finished the install this past october, and now the car is hibernating for the winter. ![]() I'm currently set up at 100hp shot. I want to get that tuned in first. By the end of next march, it should be screaming with the 150 shot. |
