The stock 2g boost is 14-15 pounds. You can only go to about 16 on pump gas with that shyte turbo. Mitus pretty much maxed it out for us
Do all of the proper supporting mods first instead of going for more boost. Boost is only a small part of the equation. Once you have all the appropriate stuff upgraded, you can go a bigger turbo that will be able to run more boost.

thanks for the help guys! So i'm guessing start with a CAI followed by exhaust. Now for my exhaust I was kinda leaning towards how the eclipse in the first F&F was nothing louder i liked the way it sounded. Any help on any of this would be appriciated! I know you guys have been through this a number of times with the other newbies so i'll try to go back through the post on most things!

Re: Stock turbo
the exhaust in f&f was a simuated sound but i recomend that apex-i n1 if you want a name brad exhaust but to save money go to a good exhaut shop and let them bend you a 3' exhaust and just get the muffler that you want and you will be ok!

the Apexi N1 muffler runs about 30 bucks on ebay. should i get that then have the cats cut out and run straight pipes from the headers? How much would this cost (average) at a muffler shop?

The exhaust shop setup is good for jsut a cat back. Unfortunately for us, most of the power to be gained is also in the downpipe and cat. Get a full turbo back exhaust from sites like
www.bushurracing.com (my favorite) www.roadraceengineering (great DPs, but I dont care for the name brand catbacks) Damn. Its late and I cant think of my usual list. But thats what to look for. DSM SPECIFIC shops make the best exhaust for cheap money. No brand name to support. BR exhaust are running 8s if that means anything. Go for the 3" now, or you'll end up buying two full exhausts like me LAst time I asked my exhaust shop what they would charge for a full setup and its still a little more than a BR turboback. If you do go this route, say you buy the RRE DP, and get the catback made, use the Dynomax Ultraflow 3" in "Welded" (cheaper) or "Stainless" (more of course). Its been tested by a local guy to flow better than a 3" pipe. Why? It has a 4" inner diameter. BR uses these on thier exhausts, so it sounds just like a BR exhaust. This is what I did. I bought the RRE "long" DP, and made my own catback based on the Ultraflow Welded. Forget the supercharger idea, turbos are superior in our applications. There is a reason DSMs are running 8s and 7s on turbos. Also keep in mind that with a 3" exhaust you have to deal with boost creep. While this may not appear on the stock T25 turbo, when you upgrade you will have to take this into consideration. Boost creep is bad. Search on here and on the tooners site shown to you above. Search with my username if that helps. I've posted EXTENSIVELY on the topic on tuners and talk. Same name as here, with no spaces. Also, my car makes 400 HP at the wheels on pump gas, so you can look at my mod list on www.posracing.net to get an idea of what I have put into the car. The built motor isnt required, but I feel better knowing its there

98gs-t you came to the right place for info my friend everything 95gsxracer says take to heart he knows what he talking about he lead me in the right direction everytime. This goes to the Fast and furious deal that movie was a great car movie and thats it hardly anything in that movie was up to par about tunning and how it really is they just did a lot of name dropping for diffrent performance companys. like everyone said get a downpipe 3inch,after the downpipe comes the cat in the stream you can either get a racing cat or if your aloud you can get a test pipe which is straight thru, after that get 3inch pipe all the way back and a free flowing muffler make sure it has a 3inch in let and at least a 3inch out let. like they said get a boost guage becuase the stock one isnt accurate at all it dosent run on vacume. remember now you dealing with a turbo car now not a naturally aspirated car you dont have a header anymore and you dont have an intake par say all your air supply comes from the turbo so you dont buy a normal CAI your air is cooled by an intercooler. the best thing to do is to just research on your own and ask alot of ?s were here to help.take it easy
