HELP! Question with 2.8L V6 Camaro: engine/tranny

Who knows if my tranny on my 88, 2.8L V6, 5-speed manual will bolt up to a 350? If possible, whos got a cheap 350?
If not, whos got a cheap 350 and/or tranny?
....willing to sell engine/tranny (or trade).... nothing wrong with them, just not big enough for me

Re: HELP! Question with 2.8L V6 Camaro: engine/tranny

The T-5 tranny on your camaro will bolt up to a 350, provided you get a bellhousing from a 350 as well.. The only problem is that your tranny wont last long behind a 350, the biggest engine they used the t5 on was the 305 because it wasnt strong enough for the 350.. If you want a good transmission to put the added power to the ground.. I recommend getting a T56 out of the newer camaro's, or if you want to go to auto, the th-700R4 is a good transmission...

Re: HELP! Question with 2.8L V6 Camaro: engine/tranny

The transmission with your v6 (if standard) will be to small to mount up to a 350. Even a 350 bellhousing will not fit onto a v6 tranny. Therefore, a tranny is what you will need if your doin an engine swap.
BTW what type of rear end r u running? Hopefully something big enough 10bolt that will support a 350
