Im confused, if your engine is already turbocharged should u buy a turbo kit or just a new turbo.... Turbo kits cost considerbly more but provide more parts....so are turbo kits for non turbocharged cars? I wounder this cus i need to upgrade the turbo on my car and im not sure to get a turbo kit or just a turbo.

Re: Re: Another Turbo Question
no not really. greedy sells a upgrade turbo kit for the gst/gsx it comes with a td-05 all the parts need to conect it, the i\c piping, bov.. fmic is a little more.. but most people jus upgrade their turbo on a dsm. and yes the t3/t04e is a great turbo also the greddy td-06 20 is also good 2.

Why are poeple so quick to suggest the T3/T4? Because its a cool word, thats why
Most of the time, that isnt the best option for poeple. To the original poster, I would highly seggest reading around on the sites of DSM vedors that offer turbos. Start with:www.slowboyracing.com www.forcedperformance.net www.agpturbo.com www.roadraceengineering.com www.buschurracing.com You'll find that most people will do well with an upgrade to a 16g sized turbo to start with. You can jsut jump right into the big complicated turbos. My car has about 1200 spent on the turbo. The other 8-9 thousand is all the parts required to support that turbo Choose the size range of turbo you want, then start to mod the car to support it. Get the turbo after the car is ready for it, and your tuning skills are up to par.

Ball bearing is an option, and rarely found on t3/t4s on DSMs. Even "t3/TO4E" only narrows it down to the 40, 46, 50, 54, 57, 60, and the very common TO4B 60-1, and 62-1 trim compressor wheels. Thats about 40 lbs/min to 70 lbs/min spread
On teh hot side there is the Stage I, II, III, and IV wheels. Possible exhaust side ARs are tyilcally .63 or .82 (only made by garret for the stage 5 wheel, though turbonetics makes thier own parts) but thye also offer .36 and .48 in the crappy 5 bolt "ford style" housing. The compressor housing will be the to4b, to4e, or tso4, from smallest to biggest. Not trying to be a pain in the ass Its just better to say you are getting a stage 3/50 trim, or something like that because it actually includes some meaningful info about the "size" of the turbo, and everyone knows that is a t3/t4 combo.
