stupid body shops

I had an accident quite a few months back and I had to get my driver side door and a few other things replaced. I took it to a shop in town and they did the work, which took about 3 1\2 weeks. The place had no care for my car; I have found a little area red paint on my armrest where they laid something across it and a few other things. After it was done the door always thought it was open even if it was not. I took it back and got that taken care of but after it was fixed the door was not flush with the rest of the car and I just ignored it. About a month later the door started thinking it was open again and the window started giving me problems going down. I took it back they were very nice about it and fixed it. A few weeks later door was giving problems (btw when it was giving problems it was flush after they fixed it, it was no longer flush) they fixed it again. The window was giving problems again but I decided to live with it and just keep it on track and kind of push it as it went down. Sunday night I was driving around came home and went to put the window up and it would not come up and about a week before I noticed the door would think it was open when I would put any pressure on it with my leg. I took it back they have fixed both problems (for now) but I just want to blow off some steam.

Re: stupid body shops

Take it somewhere else and invoice the original company. Take it to court if they don't pay up.

Well if this is a body shop that your insurance company recommended then it is the insurance company's responsibility to fix it correctly. It's their fault if they recommend a bad body shop. I'd say call them up and demand that it be fixed by a different body shop.
