What is your favourite D1 car and what would be your dream Drift car?
I am interested to know what you guys like. I will go first.
Favourite D1 car: Blitz R34 Sedan. Why? Because it makes big horsepower for a Drift car (about 400 I think), looks awesome, sounds awesome and is just plain awesome. Dream Drift car: S15 Silvia. Why? Because they are a perfectly balanced drift car, there is a huge range of Drift accesories and performance parts for them, they look the ducks nuts and I just plain love 'em. Your turn guys.

my favourite car currently on the D1 circuit would definitley have to be Takahiro Ueno's red Toyota JZZ30 Soarer. the man paid $60,000 for full pressed carbon-fibre doors, and had every bolt on the car replaced with titanium bolts that cost $20 EACH. plus the thing puts out 470hp. full carbon fibre under-diffusers, front and back. too nuts to refuse. the best thing about it? the sight of seeing a big VIP luxury car getting thrown ass-sideways around a corner at 75mph.
my favourite drift car: same as you, BOOSTD. Silvia S15. so many options, and so many different ways to make the car incredible. there are many nice ones on the circuit, such as Nobuteru Taniguchi's red HKS example. such a perfect drift car in every sense of the word.

i don't really have a favorite D1 car, but my dream is to own a nice s12. i love 'em because they're lightweight, small, RWD, largely ignored for the time being, a great part of nissan s-chassis history, and i love the look of most old-skool cars.
nissan 4 life

Favorite D1 Car?? hmm it'd probably have to be Koguchi's 180SX I love that car. Why? Because I love 180's and it's driven by Yoshinori Koguchi!
Favorite Drift Car: Sil-Eighty. Why? RWD, Nissan specifically made it for drifting, lots of options for the car, lots of accesories/modifications for the car.

you're talking about the insane green one, right? cause the red one he had at Drift Showoff was just his "show" car and not the full-out D1 monster like the green one. Sileighty would be my favourite drift car that i have a chance of owning. there's no way that i can own an S15 for a long time, so i'm building a Sileighty.

d1 car, probably nomuken's 4-door skyline big and unlikely.
for a dream drift id like an r33 gts even tho the cost would be so much to maintain for drift... |

Fav D1 car: Signal, Fumiaki Komatsu's Nissan Sil-180. Jebus that man is such a great driver, and that car is so beautiful and it just rips the road up.
Fav Drift Car: Either a Mazda 3-Gen Rx7 or a Nissan Skyline. I would have purchased a 3Gen Rx7 for my all purpose drift only car, but I thought it would be too much of a Gas guzzler being Turbo'd and Rotary and all. But yea I ended up getting a 240sx, which I soo dearly looveee. |

Great response so far guys, keep it up.
S13_Iketani I have a video with Takahiro's Soarer in it. It truly is an amazing car. It is probably the best JZZ30 Soarer I have seen to date. It shows him do a few laps at Ebisu and the car sounds so strong. There is one part where he loses it and then starts off again in first, he lets the revs build up slowly and you can hear the turbo spool up, he then plants the throttle and completely loses traction on boost, it is quite amazing. The other amazing thing is that he is cutting it up with 18 inch Volk's and a full Vertex bodykit on the thing. That man must have money.

That guy has lots of money. I've read his article in Super Street and it seemed like he had lots of money, time, respect, and love for the car. And to answer your question S13, Yes, I did mean the insane green one..hehe I love that car on the track.

I don't know the D1 circuit well enough to say, sorry.
But I've got a few dream drift cars. R32 Skyline GTS-M: Big power for longer drifts, plus you've got to work that little bit harder to toss it around. Ken & Mary's Skyline GTR: There were only, what, 100 or so of these made. Which means that not only would it be different, but I'd be pissing off the collectors while drifting it. Plus they handle nice and look sweet with those black fender flares and big RS Watanabe wheels. 1959 Cadillac Eldorado: C'mon, picture it. It'd just be too cool to see something that big going around a corner sideways. Plus the old triple carbed engine in those things (349ci I think) found their way into a lot of hot rods and dragsters back in the day, so they can make a lot of horsepower. I'd have to do something about the transmission, though. Like swap in a Muncie M22 Rockcrusher 4spd.

My favorite D1 car would have to be Ueno's Soarer, because of all the effort he made to making such a beast of a car to drift. Not only the effort but time and money also that went into it, e.g. the the 20 or so bucks for a titanium bolt. Buying 20$ bolts showed that he was serious and dedicated to the sport of drifting.
My favorite drift car would be a s15. It is an unavaliable car in the US so it would be rare and also has great aftermarket support from overseas. |

The soarer....Has to be the soarer...or the ER34 w/ the VQ35DE Twin turbo..That's a nice twist aswell.......But yeah, the soarer takes the cake..
