Burning smell from under hood.
For the past month or so, there has been an unusual burning smell coming from under the hood after driving it. It now starts but will not stay running. Any ideas on what the problem may be so i can fix it myself. This is on a 98 DOHC ford taurus. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

It is the idle air control valve. I don't think it had anything to do with the burning smell though.
