who's the fastest 1/2 mile
so is there any car in the catagory that can beat a NOTHER CAR IN 1/4 but not 1/2 or vise versa.

Fastest production car in the US is the Ford GT. Fastest production car is the McLaren F1.

Yep, Lancer Evolution 13.08 @105.12mph. Jaguar XKR is 13.43 @ 105.36 in quarter mile. In the mile, Lancer Evo is 35.1 @ 142.4mph and Jag is 35.1 @ 146.0mph. (Motor Trend June 2003)
