Practice practice practice and you'll improve without alterations to the car.

i dont have much problems when it comes to shifting through the gears i could use some serious practice in launching......any ideas..two ways i figured that gave decent 60 ft. times were rev to like 5 grand and slowy letting clutch(burn the shit out of it)and dip...or just burn out ....off idle it s extra slow..

another simple thing u can do is strip ur back-seats and passenger seat etc out (also take out ur spare tire, if u have subs, etc...). with the small torque numbers that the dx puts out, any extra weight gone will help some.

for launching, its all jus a feel. u need to launch higher at a track (like u were doing) and then jus feather it a bit until u feel it grab some-what.

i sat an spun all of 1st, and didn't get traction until 6000 rpm in 2nd gear on my 14.8 run, yet i could only post low 15's when i launched lower w/ out the wheel spin.

Not on the stock d series motor. Maybe a zc or something DOHC with mild boltons but no the stocker.

P.S I got a slightly better time also j/k
on my first time at the track with a 75 shot I didn't get traction until halfway threw 3rd gear and still ran a 14.5 with a 2.64 60' time trapped at 98.36mph though

if you want to have good reaction times and good 60' times, i suggest going on the 3rd yellow and lower your tire pressure to about 22psi to gain traction. Also strip ALL the interior in the back and i guarantee you will hit 16's.
