Ok I got a story for you. Sparknotes at the bottom.

My friends and I were coming back from this girl's house on a saturday night when I got the BRIGHT IDEA to race my friend's accord (we were in two separate cars and my friend was driving my car).

So i say," I know this street we can do it, just follow my car."

I make it a habit to cruise up and down the race spot to check it out for any hidden cops, intersections, etc. So we cruise up and down, and nobody is around except for the random passing car. On our way back to the starting line, my friend says "Lets race here instead", so we make a right and line up immediately (without checking out the road ).

We go on three honks, and we get up to 80-85 mph when we shut down. We flip a bitch to turn around, and we line up to go for it again. In the middle of our second race, a pair of headlights turn on behind us, and its the Police. My friend steps on it, takes a corner at like 60, pulls into this parking lot QUICK. Like a moron, my other friend in the accord follows us and leads the cops right to us. The guy drivin my car gets ticketed for 75 in a 35 AND speed contest, the other guy in the Accord gets arrested (no license) and got an identical ticket, and we all go home in silence minus one friend.

Here's my analysis of what went wrong:

One: Letting my friend drive my car.

Two: NOT checking out the road for the proposed race, because I would have spotted the cop instantly (doh! ).

Three: My dumbass friend in the Accord following us to our hideout with the cop trailing him (I wanted to slap him for that). BTW, its a stupid idea to run from the cops. I dont recommend it.

Four:Organizing a race on Saturday night. Just overall a bad idea.

Sparknotes:
Got caught racing, 75 in a 35 and speed contest ticket. ALL BAD.
Dont know how much the ticket ended up being, but 75 in a 35 IS more than double so it may be steep. In the end, my car still won .

That's my story.

Re: Po Po Ruin Your Night?

Not bad story. I would reccommend slapping your friend. That was really stupid to follow you in.

Re: Re: Po Po Ruin Your Night?

Well I have a good story too. I didin't get caught thouhh.

So I am on this little two lane road that runs along the docks, the limit is like 30mpg. I am crusing down it in the PORSCHE, with the top down, going 78mph. A cop car rolls past me in the oncoming lane. I just cruise past him, don't even put my brakes on. I look over my shoulder in time to see him flip a bitch. I immediately gun it, drive about 1/16 of a mile (around a big turn) and speed (of course) into the parking lot of this industrial company. I hopped out of my car locked it and just walked away. I came back about 45 minutes later and my car was still there, the cop was not and I didn't even have a ticket on my windshield. Ha Ha stupid cop.

well that is the best way to do it. unless you increase your speed or continue for 2 miles with the police behind you with lights on then it isnt a pursuit and you cant be cited for attempting to/ eluding a P.O. (in Oklahoma)
also here 20 over you will recieve reckless driving and anything over 100 you will receive attempted vehicular suicide.

Do ya got any pictures of your Porsche? I don't think I've ever seen a 911S RSR w/ the Targa option... yours must pretty rare. Or is it a custom job?

Not a flame, just curious.

Well, to start with, there is no such thing as a Super Targa. You may be referring to the late 911SC Targa.

There was no RSR Targa, period. There were the Carrera RS Targa Florio cars, that were not a Targa top, but were a select few Carrera RS cars prepared for the race.

Further, no RS or RSR was turbocharged, ever. Especially not twin turbocharged, as Porsche was not twin turbocharging 911s until the 993 was released.

So you have what, a 911SC Targa with RSR flares?

I'm really interested to hear this

Re: Po Po Ruin Your Night?

Not my story but my friends mishap.

we were driving in his 88 formula fiero.. orange paint job and these guys go by in a 2001 dark blue eclipse laughing. Well my friend was kinda pissed by that, so he takes some side streets and we see them laughing again. We head out on a 25 zone near the college then to a stop sign.

After the stop sign a 45 zone is there, well the eclipse is toying with him then he drops it in 2nd, then 3rd and hit 80-85 we go by the eclipse then come up on a truck real fast. My friend dodges around it then blows a stop sign over by the rail road tracks and keeps going then we see lights about a mile back shortly after crossing the tracks.

WTF, they didn't get the eclipse so they'll go after us. Well he pulled him over and I thought he was going to jail. The cop jumped out of his car "what the hell were you doing and how fast were you going, I didn't use my radar but I had to floor my car to 100+ to catch you guys. I know you had to be doing in excess of 100, did you even stop for the stop sign by the rail road tracks?" Then I hear my friend over talking to him said we were doing 70, then the cop asks me how fast were you going I said 70. He still didn't buy it.

Well my friend got a ticket that he said he got off on the ticket for 70 in a 45. He said if he knew the cop was coming after him he would've out run him, but I noticed while we were pulled over a state cop rolled by shortly after. They must've called for back up

Well i didn't get caught but here is my story: My friend and i were driving around- him in his Supra and me in my CelicaGT-S. We decieded to race in an industrial area. We agreed to turn off the lights and park the cars in a company parking lot where there are no cars. Well, he told his brother to get out of the his car and to start the race, by putting down his hands. He barely beat me but after the agreed ending point he kept driving slowly then he slammed on the gas. I said to myself "WTF is he doing". So i just come to a complete stop, waiting for him to come back . He doesnt return in 5 so i decided to go back and get his bro from the starting point. Right when his bro gets in my car, my cell starts ringing and he tells me there was a person in one of the industrial buildings calling the cops(we guessed this because he was looking straight at him and writing down something while looking at him.) Right when i heard that i left the scene as fast as i could. I parked the car in an abondoned paking lot (it was impossible to find us).
I then realized i had stopped very close to where the guy was taking our plates. We then returned after 30 min (in a van) and there were 3 cops there talking to the guy.
