Whats Better?
Alright, I really want to modify a 240. Right now i have a 92' in almost mint condition(untill I got T-Boned a couple weeks ago). So I was wondering what year you guys think is the best to modify. I kinda like the newer ones(97-98). I want to throw a SR20 in among suspension mods, i know we can throw a sr20 in any of the s13-s15 but i want to know which has the best handling potential? Any help would be great, also, I am not the richest guy but I do like to spend money on my car...

the s15's are little heavier and i think its due to the 6 speed tranny, which is a little on the weaker side for high HP applications. but for the ammount of money for the s15, ur better off gettin the s13 blacktop or s14 sr. (get the blacktop, and if u dont like black, paint it red and fool everyone )the 200sx is basically a s14 with a s14 sr20 in it. so that would probably be the best bet.

All sr20s are about equal for handling really...go with a redtop if you want cheap speed. The only real benefit of spending the extra money for an s15 engine is 6 speeds (you'll want a 5 speed s13/14 or a use your ka tranny if you plan to modify the engine much because it's weaker) and it will have less mileage most likely (less chance of a boy racer beating on it). S14 I don't really see a point to buy it since you don't really get much extra for how much more it costs (typically 500-1500 more than an s13 sr).

89-94 S13, 95-98 S14, then comes the silvia after that
but they all are almost exactly the same when it comes to handling, just different outside looks, whichever style you like best, get that because you won't find much different in the different years

i heard that the 95+ had a stiffer body, 2" longer wheel base, and it handled a little better.

I dont think I would ever drive a honda more or less buy one. I think you are on the wrong forum to be talking about buying a honda. I have owned two Nissan 240's now and both have done me well, and the only thing i am interseted in doing is getting an engine swap. Not any tail light conversions or body kits, Thanks for the info guys...

I think YOU are in the wrong forum, you obviously dont know what goes down here. Telling people to buy a Honda is our way of implying you are not ready for a 240. Which means you dont deserve it. Which means we think your a bandwagon jumper/r*ce boy. Quote:
Good for you. Ive owned none, and I still know and am more familar with them than you are. Just cause you own it doesnt give you credibility. Quote:
