Who was the most influential person in the 20th century?

Who do you all think the most influential person was, as in having the greatest impact on society during and after his life?

Even though I highly disagree with his views, Hitler is my choice. Its not very easy for a single man to turn a country from poverty to prosperity in the short span of time he did, and on top of that, he turned them into completely different people. His influence still exists today as well.

While Hitler is a good choice, I'd think Stalin for impimenting ccommunism that spurred on decades of wars (Korean to cold).

Enzo Ferrari, for creating a name more recognized than Coca Cola and IBM.

Hitler...never has the world seen a man who done what he done in a effort to change the world as we know it now.

The man had a vision of what he wanted and nothing was going to stop him.

Damn, I saw the Title of the topic and I thought well it has to be Hitler, but lets see how PC these guys are and read about how much they love Eintsien, or Henry Ford, then I could just post one name, Hitler. But what do I find? You all beat me to it.

But isnt it interesting that the most evil man is also the most influential?

well, I suppose In order to be one you have to be another, Influential people are quite common but the MOST influential is probably Hitler cuase like it was said before, he took Germany out of the Depression and turned them into a top nation. It was not really for good though, he used many races as scapegoats for Germany's problems. I Like your choice of Hefner GOD, according to Leno, he's retiring, from what, I don't know.

While all of these have had some sort of global impact in one form or another lets not forget about others such as:

Nixon, Edison, Elvis, the list goes on. It is really easy to make a good arguement for any of them.

Bill Gates, as much as we hate him, his vision has impacted quite a bit. After all he is responcible indirectly for us being here

Hank the angry drunken dwarf.

Time had a poll a couple years ago asking the exact same question. My answer is still Hitler. For turning Germany around but also for indirectly bring nations together for a common cause.
