not much really that ive found, I have a 94 c1500 w/ a 4.3 litre v6 and it still eats gas. What i have found out though is not to dog the shit out of the engine or go in speeds of excess of 60-65 and it'll save a lot of gas. Also cleaning out the throttle body and the injectors with fuel injector cleaner did somewhat improve it. other than that, get anotehr vehicle?

We always have a 4,000# trailer behind our 93 K2500 LD with a 5.7. It got 8-9 mpg until we went to a Flowmaster and 2 1/2" pipes and removed the cat. Now it is 10-11 mpg. The cat was a lot of the problem, it was the old style with pellets.

A bad o2 sensor, or falling one, will cuase a drop in gas mileage, as well as 50 thousand other things, but thats usually what is doing it.

Get them injectors cleaned up.
