Exclamation Motor question NEED HELP ASAP!

ok i have a d15b2 and it came with a automatic tranny, if i pull it from the car will i be able to put a manual tranny on? and what trannies will fit? im hoping for a si tranny.

it will be a mini-me 1.5 if anyone has info on that as well. (yes i have used the search button)

any 88-91 tranny will fit...but you'll have to get all the necessary items to make it a manual, like clutch pedal, etc... search, think there's some posts about auto-manual conversions...

motor

yeah, im not doing an auto to manual conversion. its my parts car motor is auto, and my project car is manual. so is there anything i need to change the motor?like im leaving the auto tranny in my parts car, and want to put an si manual tranny on the parts car motor. will there be anything i have to change? like add the flywheel clutch? and take out the torque converter

yeah..you'll have to swap the flywheel onto the engine..that should be it..

how much would a auto to manal conversion cost? Does it require a shop or can a backyarder do it? i need help with this really bad!!!

if you have the skills to pull it off along with the tools, you can do it, but its not easy at all, a shop will prolly charge around 1500-3000$$ for the swap.

is there anything i can do to make my auto keep up with manual? Ive heard of a semi-auto kit....how about a torque converter? anything!!!! aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh!

torque convertors will drastically improve your ride, id look into it.

so thats all i can do to it? torque converter it is. Im guessing thats an easy backyard job. Right? im not really good with trannys. am i gonna have to remove the tranny?
