Question How to Clean Old paint in spray jars

Hey guys - I have to get back into this hobby, as I have about 10 cars/planes that are ready for paint....

Problem is - all my paint jars are NASTY!!! Some have dried up paint in the bottom, others with half dried paint, etc.

Anyways - is there any way to clean them? Thinner doesn't do anything, and I don't want to have to buy new ones at $3/each.

Any heavy duty stuff I can use?

Merc .

I know for a fact that most break fluids will work. The only problem is they are not bio-degradible, so you have to figure out how to dispose of it.

Be careful with some break fluids around kits. If you are wondering why, check out my posts [4th Last and 7th Last posts in the thread]

Break Fluid Wrecks Kit

EDIT: Avoid brake cleaners as well, they are harsh!

Try CSC for everything. I think it'll work for acrylics, enamels and lacquers. Well, I know it'll work on acrylics and lacquers.

I got's LOTS of brake fluid - off to give that a try!

I did see your post Hummer - that woulda pissed me off bad if I wrecked a kit like that !

Anyways - thanks for the tips (I'd try the other tips out, but I don't have that stuff), and soon, I should be spraying a F150 Lightning .
