stereo problems
I tried to install 2/10 inch hollywood speakers and a 400w amp in my 95 Nissan Maxima. Unfortunatly everytime I would hit the brakes or turn off the cd player, I would hear a very loud feedback vibration. I wondered it this problem happened because I stayed with the original Bose head unit that included a CD player and a cassette deck. Is there some kind of adapter or special power boost that I could buy, or will I have to use a more powerful CD player?

Bose head units run on very low frequency's. Each individual speaker has its own amp to compensate. I'm not sure if that's what is causing your problem or not but it's a posibility. I've never tried hooking an amp to a bose system but I have tried putting regular speakers on them and it just doesn't work. Other than that I can only say that engine noise usually means a bad ground, or interference from another circuit. You may try changing your ground and Acc. hot source to see if that helps. I think you may be able to buy some type of converter for the Bose deck but if you can it'd probably be so expensive you'd be better off just buying an aftermarket head unit and selling the bose on Ebay or something.

I have seen somewhere that adding aftermarket stuff to a factory maxima bose can be a pain in the @$$. there are things you have to do to make it work whick I think it calls for buying some parts or some $hit like that.

You're right...The Bose is one of the best STOCK systems around. But it's still stock. Better quality sound, as well as better versitillity, can be acheived using aftermarket systems if the right combination is used. If you want good quality sound that stays in the mid-ranges then the Bose is all you need. The right aftermarket system will give you a much better range of sound with a lot more control than the factory Bose system can offer (unless you're driving a new 350Z).
